APRIL 2012; Not a lot has progressed during the past couple of years, but rather a sense of going around in circles. The project is still alive and the need for improved facilities is as strong as ever, so progress will be reported here in due course. Facilities needed are: Toilet; Kitchen servery; Vestry; Facilities for flower arrangers; Lockable place for gardening equipment (eg: mower). Also sought is a place for the Benefice Office and a small meeting area. The existing heating boiler may need upgrading and/or relocating. Our main concern is that English Heritage object to most of our preferred designs even though our plans have been based on what they've approved previously at other churches. Seems that our key action must be to tie English Heritage and the Diocese together in agreement before we spend very much more on architect drawings. An appeal for funds will be launched once the design has been approved.

The display board in All Saints' Church still shows the six original option plans, none of which will be implemented. When new proposals are made available they will be displayed on this board and all the old designs removed.
